We Ask a Pyrotechnician About His Favourite Display
It’s difficult to choose just one firework’s display, as I have been very lucky to work on and be involved […]
With the turn of a new decade, Titanium Fireworks were delighted to provide a spectacular pyrotechnics display for the City of London. We celebrated the New Year with some of the biggest bangers, and we don’t just mean the fireworks.
Over 100,000 ticket-holders turned up year to ring in the New Year with a stunning firework show over the Thames. The annual fireworks display, considered one of the best in the world, always includes a playlist that’s almost as fire as the fireworks, and this year hasn’t been any different. From straight-up pop bangers to medleys and mixes, the music kept the crowds pumped at the fireworks display. From the hair-raising vocals of the late, great Whitney Houston to David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, the playlist certainly had it all.
Of course, man of the year Stormzy featured — a great way to ring out 2019, and with him set to snag the first number one of 2020. Also, Ed Sheeran, the UK’s artist of the decade, could be heard over the fireworks too.
Here are the tracks that featured on the 2020 New Year’s Eve fireworks playlist in London:
Calvin Harris – Let’s Go / Sigala & Becky Hill – Wish You Well & Meduza – Piece of Your Heart
Ed Sheeran ft. Stomzy – Take Me Back To London / Adam Port & Stereo MC – Place & Lord Kitchener
Lady Leshurr ft. Wiley – Where Are You Now / Ed Sheeran ft. Stormzy – Take Me Back To London
Wiley ft. Idris Elba Boasty / Mable – Don’t Call Me Up

For the first time we included letter projection to reinforce the theme, London hosting the Euro 2020 Finals, where we fired each letter making up EURO 2020 three times throughout the display. We hope you enjoyed it!
