Meet the team: David Aldous

My favourite career moment: Has to be working on London New Year show Working on the London eye loading the pyro in a limited time. And then at midnight when the show starts knowing how many people are there and around the world watching. It’s such a privilege to be able to part of a team who delivers the new year celebrations for two of the world’s greatest Capital Cities.

What do I most enjoy:  Is simple for me it’s ” the fireworks” and the buzz I get at each and every show when a good display has been delivered

What do I least enjoy: Is the black residue in the mortar tubes after the show has fired

Favourite project: My favourite project I’ve worked on is the 50th anniversary of the Fourth Road Bridge. Rigging fireworks 512ft up on north and south towers what a view and a challenge.

Thumbs Aldous

How would my colleagues describe me: “Numerically challenging”

Bucket List: One thing I would knock of bucket list is “skydiving”.

If I could go anywhere in the world: it would be Jamaica as its the home of reggae and ska.

My proudest moment: was when my son Liam was born.
